Saigon is a generous and mysterious place, it opens the door for all the cultures/people/food around the world and merge them into its unique color. Hu Tiu Nam Vang (Phnom-Penh Clear Rice Noodle Soup) is one of the best example.
Hu Tiu Nam Vang is a daily food in Vietnam, has it origin from Cambodia but was invented by the Chinese, sounds great? And it’s not only about the origin, it’s also really really delicious and please your hungry stomach at the end of the day. There is a great place for you to try Hu Tiu Nam Vang, which is also me and my girlfriend’s favorite place: Ba Hoang – 46 Võ Văn Tần, Ward 6, District 3. It’s right on the street and very easy to find, especially at night, the place is very cool with breeze so you can feel very relax. It’s close to District 1 and the central of Saigon so you should try it once.
The Hu Tiu Nam Vang Ba Hoang stall has been running unstoppable for over 33 years, and is on top of the list of local people when speaking about this dish. It is suitable for all kind of people and activity: the office workers, food lovers, foreigners and people who love to explore nightlife in local way.
The price range here is around VND 40,000 to VND 60,000 and you will be served with a super big bowl full of mouthwatering noodles, meat, delicious broth and fresh vegetables. Believe me, this is the best investment you will ever make. You can have your noodles with or without broth and they’re delicious in their own ways.
The broth is made in a long time to make sure the sweetness of pork bone is extracted the most. For other ingredients, let’s check what you will have in the bowl: shrimp, pork, ground pork, fried onion, Chinese celery, parsley, lettuce… yummy huh? After one bowl, if you’re still hungry, you can also order a mouthful stewed pork bone, which is very huuuuugeee, it’s really huge and delicious please try this you will not regret. Beside of these main dishes, the place also has one more side dish called Crisp Shrimp Pastry which can make the best ending for your meal.
The place opens from the morning until 14:00, then takes a rest for 01 hour and opens again until 2:00 AM of the next day. So it’s also available everytime!
This is the direction from Beso House to the place, please come and try: https://goo.gl/yizZJ3
